excite的用法

1.excite的基本意思是刺激某人使之激动或激励某人做某事,强调激动的强烈程度和激励的巨大作用。

2.excite用作及物动词时,可接名词、代词或动名词作宾语,也可接以动词不定式或以介词to引导的短语充当补足语的复合宾语。

Don't excite yourself! Keep calm!不要激动!保持镇静!

It especially excited their inquisitiveness.这尤其引起了他们的好奇心。

3.excite常用于be ～ed结构,其后可接现在分词或动词不定式短语,还常接at, about 表示“激动”或“兴奋”的原因。

4.用作宾补动词

（1）S+～+ n./pron. +to- v

The king's cruelty excited the people to rise against him.

那个国王的残酷激起了人民起来反对他。

（2）S+～+ n./pron. + prep. -phrase

I excited him to anger.

我把他激怒了。

Extremists were exciting the people to rebellion against their oppressors.

极端主义者在鼓动人民起来反抗压迫者。
